My dog Griffin
He's an indoor dog who has had no interaction with other animals. Kevin and I have trained Grffin not to bark and if you throw a pillow on the floor, he'll run to it and sit pretty. Griffin learned swim in
Not fond of eating alone, Griffin always carries his food into the living room, drops it in front of us, and then chows down. Griffin went unnamed for about 6 months, but we finally named him for the winged lion in mythology because he reminds me of a miniature lion when he's not clippered. We nearly lost Griffin twice. As I left for work one day, Griffin slipped past me and ran free. Kevin realized Griffin was gone and frantically searched on foot for him, calling out for him all the way to the Halifax Commons, where a woman asked Kevin to describe Griffin. She kindly told Kevin where she had seen Griffin in the clutches of another woman nearby. Kevin quickly ran after the assailant, stopped her in her tracks and exclaimed, "That's my dog you have there!" She challenged Kevin with, "How do I know it's yours?" Kevin promptly snatched Griffin from here and retorted, "Because he's not yours!"
The second time we nearly lost him, he had scampered into a neighbour's back garden. We searched for hours, until near the end of hope, we walked past the neighbour's house and noticed Griffin sitting in their hallway. I opened the neighbour's door and said "He's mine!". She said, "How do I know he's yours?", to which I replied, "His collar says Griffin, and my telephone number is below his name!" I was so lucky to find him!
