The PG clothesline has been set up again for fund-raising purposes – this time to collect mittens, hats and scarves for the folks at Hope Cottage.
Hope Cottage is a charitable organization in Halifax whose mission is to provide meals to those who cannot afford to obtain these meals themselves. (www.nsnet.org/hopecottage).
In September, members of our team were asked to bring in new mittens, hats and scarves and in return they received a ballot for a chance to win two tickets to Sir Elton John’s spectacular show at the Metro Centre the following weekend. The draw took place at noon in the employee restaurant, The Breakaway, and the lucky winner was Jenny Nolan, a long-term employee of The Prince George who works in the Laundry Department.
