Pam Eisan, Terrace Restaurant Supervisor, overheard two ladies vacationing from Toronto discussing their plans for the day over breakfast.  They were saying how much they would like to visit Grand Pre, Wolfville and the Fundy shore, but that they did not feel up to renting a car and doing all that driving . . .

 

I am thrilled and excited to announce that Bee Choo Char is appointed to the key position of Gio Restaurant Chef.

Bee Choo and her team - including her equally talented and long serving supporters Mary Arab, 1st Cook and Annaleisa Waito, Pastry Chef - will develop the future menu offerings of Gio, one of Halifax's finest Restaurants. As Gio Restaurant Chef, Bee Choo will lead a small group of some of this country's brightest and most creative young culinary talents to continue growing Gio's well-established reputation for excellence.

The Prince George Hotel is the only fully independent Hotel in Nova Scotia to earn a four diamond rating from the Canadian Automobile Association.  General Manager, Nicholas Carson says, "Our four diamond rating is an extremely important designation that enables visitors to establish the quality of this Hotel before they arrive; it is a widely recognized hallmark of quality and therefore essential to an independent Hotel that is not affiliated with a nationally branded chain."

One of the most basic essentials of any four diamond Hotel is impeccable cleanliness and high standards of upkeep.  To create a little excitement and an incentive for the Housekeeping team, Lynn Davis, Rooms Manager, and her team devised a competition that helps the Housekeeping team to provide an exceptionally clean and well maintained product.

Gary Howard, Vice President of the Canadian Automobile Association, has announced that The Prince George Hotel has again been awarded the AAA/CAA 4 Diamond rating for 2008.

Neville Gilfoy, Publisher of Progress magazine has announced that readers of Progress magazine have once again voted The Prince George Hotel the best hotel in Atlantic Canada.

Nicholas Carson, General Manager of the hotel was quoted as saying he was humbled and very proud of this recognition, and gives full credit for the award to his team of engaged and empowered employees who take such good care of guests of the hotel.
