My wife and I are busy people - working, owning a small business, taking care of our house and pets. It's important that we make time to unwind and relax with each other. Taking a suite at The Prince George lets us do all those things. We disappear into luxurious haven of solitude. It's always a fantastic experience. (the one thing we'd like is if the complimentary robes were available in plus sizes - it would make things a little more comfortable)

The service, in all areas, was very good. The accomodations we had were updated and modern, very clean, and we had everything we needed (and more). The location was central to anything we wanted to do in downtown Halifax. There is nothing we didn't like.

I thought the location was good, and on-street parking was fine for the weekend. I thought the lobby gave the hotel a bit of a dated look, but the rooms themselves more than made up for it. I thought the bathrooms in particular were quite well done. The only thing I didn't care for were the pillows. They were soft, but too thick for my preference. A mixture of sizes is typical at other hotels.

From check-in to check-out, we encountered nothing but friendly, helpful staff. We were there for my daughter's wedding and reception which were held in the hotel, and everything was perfect, from the hotel event planner and venue, to the meal and the brunch the next day. Many out of town guests were extremely impressed by the entire event/stay. We will definitely be recommending this location to anyone who asks (and even those who don't).

My stay easy extremely enjoyable, the room was always cleaned and the beds made. All staff were very keen to offer services and help with directions since it was my first visit. I promoted great reviews and would definitely choose the Prince George for my future stays in Halifax.

The room was spacious and clean on arrival. Parking was easily accessible and location of hotel served our purposes perfectly. We arrived from Calgary via St. John's Nfld. and when we delayed due to a blizzard in Nfld. by a day, the staff were very understanding, held our room until the next days arrival. The restaurant was superb. Our meals their were delightfully presented and extremely well trained staff served with the highest professionalism. One of our all time favourite restaurants and we have travelled extensively. Although Halifax in February has it's weather issues we were able to walk to some destinations and the location of the hotel enabled us to get back and forth to Dalhousie University with ease. We were also delighted to access the Dalhousie rate for our room. Definitely we would stay with the Prince George again. Michael & Carolyn Truant

My husband and I spent one night at the Prince George and every aspect from booking the reservation to check-out was a positive pleasant experience. All staff were very friendly and accomodating...hotel staff we would meet in the hallways would greet us with a friendly hello. We enjoyed breakfast at Gio's on Sunday morning and once again had over the top service. The only negative would be the voices we overheard in the early morning hours from the bars below us...not a big problem...but that would be the only slight issue we experienced. We would HIGHLY recommend your hotel to friends and family.

The staff was very pleasant to deal with, and we had no problems with parking. The room was clean and comfortable, and the extra benefit of being on the 6th floor with the lounge area being very bright, clean, and a very good selection of complimentary beverages and snacks to choose from was a very pleasant surprise.

Every year my husband takes our son and I to a hotel for Valentine's Day, this year the Prince George had a special on Teambuy, but when I called I was informed it was only for the month of March, but the lovely woman on the phone was kind enough to extend the offer for the day we wanted. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly Concierge who not only offered to help with our luggage, but joked around with our 2 year old. When we got to the front desk, everyone lavished attention on our son, which he LOVES attention. After a quick check in, my son was given a blow up frog to play with which made his day (and Froggy was a pool toy, so even better!). After we settled in we ordered room service, and it was delicious! They even included free bread with my husbands soup! The woman who delivered the food joked with my son and was very polite! After dinner we relaxed in the most comfortable beds in a hotel we've ever been in, then went swimming in the pool and used the hot tub. I appreciated the fact that the hot tub was not scaldingly hot, but a little warmer than bath water so our son was able to join us, and he loved it, he called it the "Tiny hot pool". Bed time was a breeze in the two double beds, he loved having his own big bed, and the bedding is very comfortable. We ordered breakfast, and my pancakes were by far the best pancakes ever. We were not pleased with the coffee, it was too strong for our liking, but since the hotel provides a Keurig machine in every room, we were able to bring our own cups with us for a more mellow flavor. We took another dip in the pool, and then checked out. All and all the Prince George is our favorite hotel, the staff is exceptional and the food is amazing (wouldn't mind if there was a little more choice on the room service menu, my husband doesn't like "fancy" foods), the rooms are larger than any other hotel I've been in, the beds are firm yet soft, the decor is warm and inviting. I love the Prince George, and will stay again and will be recommending it to all of my friends and family!

In the middle of a snow storm, checking in, getting settled and having a rejuvenating nights sleep was made easy. I used the online check-in link that was sent to my mobile device earlier in the day to avoid hassle and spend more time visiting over tea with my son. My keys were ready when I arrived at 11:30 pm and I didn't have to stand in line behind the 60 people off the tour bus waiting in the lobby. The room was clean, the bed was great and I loved the pillows. There was even green tea and my favourite decaf coffee for the Keurig. The only thing that could have made the stay any better was a bathtub. I love to warm up before heading to bed. The staff were enthusiastic despite the weather and the weary travellers. They were gracious when I couldn't find the elevators and had a good laugh with me when I did. I was on the 5th floor and not sure if I was the only one on the floor but the silence was wonderful.

We were in Halifax to attend my son's convocation at the WTCC. It was the worst snow storm ever, but staying at the Prince George made it very easy to access the WTCC without going out in the cold. There was 4 rooms reserved for our party, and none of us had any complaints! We all had a wonderful night at the convocation and a wonderful stay at the Prince George.

Travelled from Lunenburg to Halifax for an event held Saturday evening. We decided to go up a day earlier to beat the storm. Enjoyed a mini holiday. My husband commented the service provided at front desk was exceptional and the best he had ever experienced. We road trip regularly and have experienced all ends of the service spectrum. Our room was comfortable and clean. Note:Room 323 bathroom door does not lock. We would have loved an in room microwave. We would definitely stay here again.

I was in the city for the CA convocation. From the quick and easy check in, to check out, along with the helpfulness and pleasant words of send off from Virgil, it was a First Class experience. The room was very clean and had everything that I needed and it was very quiet. Since we were in the middle of a snowstorm, the underground parking saved the headache of cleaning snow off the vehicle. As well, the connecting tunnel to the WTCC is super convenient. Thanks Prince George! You were the crowning touch on an already fantastic weekend!

We arrived around 5pm on Friday, Feb 8 and we were greeted with friendly staff. We asked for a taxi for Saturday Morning, as the other guest was receiving an award at Government house on Saturday morning. No problem, except the storm made the taxi late, but it did arrive, and we were able to arrive at the ceremony on time. Breakfast was great. The room was clean and inviting and comfortable. Thanks!

I love staying at the Prince George. I have travelled quite a bit but the Prince George feels like my home away from home. I love that there is not a huge turn over with staff, which tells me two things: 1. Obviously your staff is happy to work for you, which I take into consideration. 2. People will remember me. These are traits that a lot of hotels do not have.

Your hotel is by far the best in Halifax in my personal opinion. We were greeted with sincerity and professionalism when we arrived early from a long flight from Edmonton. Our room was prepared for an early check-in to my surprise and the guest service agents were very efficient. We had our car valeted for the duration of our stay which was very reasonable in price and the concierges/bellmen were very quick to bring the vihecle around. The hotel restaurant (Gio) was impeccable and even the continental was amazing for those days we were on the go. We were placed on the Crown Floor which we hope to be on again. The Six:Seventeen Lounge was a beautiful private addition to the floor but I do hope to see you serve continental there. The housekeeping service was amazing and I wish I got the names of the three girls that were working on the sixth floor that week. I had tried your pool area and I would have to say was my only disappointment was the whirlpool. I was told upon check in that it would be going under service but at least there was a beautiful sauna to replace it. Room service, ice delivery and turndown service were above par as well. My favourite service your hotel offers is the Traveling Gourmet which was such a treat for a long flight back home. Besides the normal review, I would like to take the time to let you know about your guest service staff. I came down for my fathers funeral who was working and living in your province. He was a sheetmetal worker who also had done work on the Prince George hotel and I had broke down shortly before leaving for an appointment. I told a lady by the name of Lynn who was apart of your GSA staff. To my shock when I came back to my room, there left for me was a beautiful sympathy card signed by her. Please take the time to thank your wonderful employees who make us travellers lives a little easier. The Prince George has an amazing team of hard workers and I will be looking forward to our next stay on better circumstances. Good luck on the hotel renovations!

My family and I have stayed at the Prince George many, many times over the years. We have always enjoyed the experience for check-in to check-out. The rooms are always spotless with great furnishings and decor. The staff are always professional, courteous, helpful and friendly. What I liked best about my most recent visit was my experience at Gio. I was warmly welcomed and escorted to my seat. My server inquired about my wishes and actually listened to my requests! The service was prompt and the food was exquisite. The best experience ever.

My son Liam (who is autistic) arrived at the Prince George Friday, we were being met by my husband Robert. We normally stay at the Radisson as I am a travel agent from home and find that they have better rates, this time I tried both and the Radisson was 89.00, the Prince George 100.00. However, the Prince George would allow us to bring our puppy and we wanted to try something different. We ended up not bringing our Puppy, so I asked Anders when we arrived if we could be upgraded, he was wonderful and so kind to my son, we took the upgrade that cost 40.00 to the Crown Floor. We loved being able to access the room where Liam could play on the computer, get snacks and drinks, and the breakfast the next morning was very good and plenty for us. My husband and I went in the hottub, my son swam and had fun. We were going to go down the street to Q for supper but it was very cold so had a wonderful cultural supper at Midtown tavern. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and hope that the travel agent rates stay reasonable so that we can come again. It is Liam's new hotel and Anders even sent him up a birthday gift. He is already talking about coming March Break (if we can afford to). Thanks for a good night. Treasure O'Hara

I love staying at the Prince George. We travel with our 'fur baby', and this hotel treats dogs exceptionally well. A gift bag for our dog is received at check-in. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful. The accomodations are beautiful. Our room is always to our liking. Centrally located in Halifax, walking distance to almost anything you would like to do. Valet parking is great. No need to worry about finding a place to park in the city. I have stayed at the Prince George Hotel several times and I can't wait to stay again. The service and response time is amazing. Starting from when I checked in using the online check-in option, I asked for top floor if possible, quiet part of the hotel and a King size bed. I was dubious as to whether this would work or if my requests would be accommodated. However, my check in was very quick and I was told that I would be on the sixth floor, with a King size bed. I had the best sleep imaginable. The lounge is also fantastic and the bartender makes the best Lemon Drop martini in Canada. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and I truly enjoyed my stay.
