You're great!

My wife and I had great service on our recent visit. I was there on business and my wife was there for pleasure. I had been many times before, but it was her first trip. Although our room wasn't ready when we arrived and I had to leave quickly to go straight to the office as a way to sort things we were given another room where I could freshen up after a trans-atlantic flight. All in all, the room was great, the breakfast excellent and the service first class. Thanks! --Henry Engelhardt

Quite comfortable

I stayed at your hotel for 5 days in Halifax. Service was excellent..front desk, concierge etc.All very pleasant. Room was fine but it would be nice if you used a better quality toilet paper. 1 ply is rather chintzy for a high end hotel. Also I chose the Green effect regarding towels, bed linens etc. I distinctly felt my bed was not changed after 3 days. I could see the crease marks on my pillows and sheets. Seeing as I only change my own once a week, I wasn't too concerned but nevertheless, perhaps housekeeping should check this. Location was very handy for my needs. Breakfast although very good was far too expensive. Would I stay here again? Yes for sure but do change the TP! Janet Cornwall

Dear Ms. Cornwall,

Thank you for your feedback - all great points that I will discuss further with our team - thank you again for letting us know and for choosing to stay with us.  See you soon we hope.

Excellent hotel

I enjoyed my stay at your hotel. It was not my first visit so I knew already about the quality of Prince George hotel. It is very well situated. The only comment I would make concerns a small detail : it is not handy to have the bathroom light switch situated OUTSIDE of the bathroom. I was continuously looking for the switch inside and oculd not find it. Also one suggestion : many of us like to drink tea insted of coffee and the coffee machine always smells and tastes like coffee so to have access to somme hot water in the room would be a plus.

- Corinne Ardon

I suspect you are speaking about Colin Ms. Ardon.  I will definitely let Colin and the rest of the team know you were impressed - thank you.

Unacceptable stay in a sub stand hotel I will not recommend to colleagues

The hotel was clean and I was greeted well apron arrival. The room was also clean and well groomed. I called down to room service and order dinner as I was on a long flight and I did eat on it. After about 50-110 mins I called back down to see where my order was. They informed they didn't know what room I was in, I was asked this when I ordered the food and I told them. They brought up the food, which appeared to be the same order that was sitting around for an hour. With my dinner order the girl said she would send up and breakfast order sheet I could use to order my breakfast. This did not come with my dinner. I order breakfast from the person that delivered my dinner, he wrote it down. I realized he didn't know what time I wanted it for so I called down again and told them 7am. They confirmed again that it will be there. At 7:10am the following morning I called down for my breakfast - they had no record of my order and said they would send it up in 15 mins. 20 mins later it arrived. I was asked to sign / pay for it and I refused as it was late making me late and this was the second order they had completely messed up. At check out, immediately after, I told the front desk what had happened and they offered me a free upgrade the next time I stayed. Having a horrible dinner and no breakfast was unacceptable and substandard for any type of hotel. I work for a large international company and will make sure my colleagues and booking agents are aware of the level of service and hospitality I received at your hotel / chain. I would assume this would affect our stays with you company wide.

- Jason Marsh

Dear Mr. Marsh,

I am so sorry to learn that we dropped the ball not once but twice on your recent stay with us.  I am not going to try and sugar coat or run from exactly what happened because it was a clear training issue with two new team members and therefore 100% my fault.  I will definitely follow up with them so they learn from this instance but I am sorry for this nuisance to you Sir.

If there is anyway I can make this up to you I will do my best so please feel free to email me at stravis@princegeorgehotel.com

I hope we get a chance to welcome you back because I have every confidence this would not happen again and I would love the opportunity to prove that to you.

Any chance we could have a second chance?

Warming and welcoming staff!

I booked the BETA conference at the Prince George. The service upon arriving was prompt and efficient. I was very happy to see the Windsor 2 room set up at 8:15 am the next morning. There seemed to be lots of staff to help out and ask questions. The food for our conference was outstanding all of our members were happy..we even had one diary allergy which your staff reminding me of in the morning and provided a separate lunch. The location was great as we had most of our meetings at the metro Centre.

Lovely motel but disappointed about my cell charger not being returned to lost and found!!!

I think the Prince George is a very nice motel which has comfortable beds and whenever we requested something the staff was quick to respond. Location is great because of being close to areas we like to frequent and because of the underground link. What I liked best would be the location and the rooms. I did have one problem though and I was very glad to get this feedback form. I left my iPhone cell charger in the room and when I called about it I was told it was not in the room. I checked very thoroughly in all my bags and did not find it. I remember clearly that I took my cell off the charger and forgot to grab my charger. They did check the room but by the time I called the maid in charge of my room had gone home. I am hoping that this could be resolved and that my charger will be returned. I certainly was not impressed with the fact that it was not turned into the lost and found.

- Cheryl Sinclair

Dear Ms. Sinclair,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.  I think since the survey was completed we have sent you a new cellphone charger but if this is not the case please let me know.  My apologies for this nuisance and thank you for staying with us.

Had a great stay.

We were greeted by a member of your very friendly staff. He assisted us with our bags, parked our car and pointed us to a spot to have a great local beer. We enjoyed the comfy bed, spacious room and will stay here the next time we visit Halifax.

Very enjoyable stay.

We were there for a wedding held at the hotel. This was our first visit and we found the service, room, location, and amenities all were exemplary. Your staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The only negative comment I would have is that I was surprised that your guests are required to pay for parking.

- Derek Fagan

Thank you for staying with us Mr. & Mrs. Fagan,

Parking is one of those necessary evils for a city centre hotel..... I know it doesn't help but I hate paying for it to when I travel.  Often times we have packages on our website that include parking and other value adds so that may be an option for you in the future.... which we hope you are looking again very soon.  Maybe an anniversary?  Birthday?

Great

Service was great, the room was great with the exception, the shower did not drain. The water from my husbands shower was still there when I took mine. The key did not unlock the door unless we pulled on the door for it to make connection. Some regular maintenance could have made the stay a better experience.

- Constance Pettigrew

Dear Mrs. Pettigrew,

I have asked our Maintenance team to do a full inspection (and obviosuly repairs) to Room 518.  I am sorry for these nuisances - we pride ourselves on eliminating these types of frustrations and we didn't do that for you.  On behalf of the team I am sorry this was your experience.  I hope your travels bring you back to Halifax and we get a chance to show you what we are truly like.

Favourite Halifax Hotel

From the moment my cab door was opened by your door concierge through to the day I departed, I felt welcomed and appreciated as a guest. The check in/out was simple. Additional service was offered (i.e. dinner reservations, limo pick up, directions). The room was immaculate. For a Cisco employee with an office at 1741 Brunswick, this location cannot be beat. However I have also stayed here personally due to the proximately to great restaurants and attractions. The only negative I have is the lack of noise buffer from the halls. While the noice was not overly excessive (i.e. just regular conversation as people walked down the hall), it felt like my door was open. I noticed a pretty large gap in the door frame and this is probably the cause of the noice not being blocked. Thankfully, my floor had mostly people who came/went at decent hours so it was not waking me up.

- Cathy Brown

Thank you for sharing details of your experience Ms. Brown and for the tip lead to get more CISCO employees to make the Prince George their home base when coming to Halifax.

Awesome

My trip was planned by my son and daughter in law, they got excellent Reba tickets and off course looking after me got me an excellent room at the Prince George Hotel, what could be better than that! I've been at the Prince George Hotel many times with my 3 sisters from away and best of all this June 19-23 we had a family get together with our 2 brothers. The Prince George is so central for location plus central for family from away. I love the Prince George Hotel,it's so close to the Metro Centre,I have gotten many band concert tickets for my son and his wife and not having to worry about them with hotel tickets at The Prince George I was alone this time,I stayed in room 330 ,had an excellent maid who looked after me the best, and your consider ire was excellent and so helpful,I rely on the when I 'm leaving.

Go Reba!  Hopefully we get to have you again soon Ms. Butts.

My stay was a pleasure

I came to Halifax for a meeting at Dalhousie University. The Prince George had good reviews and a good location, close to down town restaurants, but within walking distance of the meeting. The stay was excellent. I asked for a quiet room and had one. From check-in to check-out the staff was excellent. My room was not ready, but the staff at the front desk stored my bag, delivered it to the room, and tracked me down in the restaurant when the room was ready. I was particularly impressed by the restaurant staff, their friendliness and attention to service, and to the quality and reasonable pricing of the food. The fitness center saw use every day and was a great feature of the hotel.

Central Park

When choosing a place to stay in Halifax The Prince George always comes to mind. We chose The Prince this time so we could enjoy the Reba show which is just across the street which meant we didn't have to worry about parking and we didn't have to travel to another location or approx. 3 hours home. We also enjoyed our family for the afternoon on Sunday in the city being able to walk and relax with them. The extra bonus of the eclub fall special was a great benefit and affordable. It was a most relaxing stay. The one and only difficulty I had was being able to see the slot at the parking meter where to insert the parking pass. The light was very dim and I had to feel the surface to determine where exactly the slot was. A little spot light would be very helpful.

Thank you for staying with us Mrs. Fancy.  I think a new concert announcement is coming tomorrow.  Hopefully it will be one that brings you back to YHZ.

A fantastic stay at a fantastic hotel

Hello there, My stay at the Prince George was fantastic. I was only there for one night for business but enjoyed every moment. The check in staff was extremely friendly and check in was very smooth and seamless. My room on the Crown Floor was spectacular and I loved the Aveda products. The bathroom was very clean and so were the bed linens. I particularly enjoyed the executive room for continental breakfast. It was clean and quiet and the staff again was very friendly.

MY OPINION, NOT THAT IT MATTERS

The location was great as well as the accommodatons. The price of the rooms are quite expensive so I think the parking should be free for people that are staying. I did not dine in your dining room as I also found the prices quite high. To think a person paying $16 for breakfast, I did not look at lunch and dinner menu because with the price of breakfast than dinner would be much more expensive. BUT REALLY PARKING SHOULD BE FREE FOR PEOPLE STAYING.

- Inez Hicks

I know how you feel regarding the parking charge Ms. Hicks - when I travel I try and find a package that includes parking.  Unfortunately it is a necessary evil for for most if not all downtown properties to maintain the service of having a parkade.

If your travels bring you back to Halifax and you were willing to give us another chance (which I hope you will) please check our website because we often have fantastic specials that have inclusions.

A PLACE TO CALL HOME AWAY FROM HOME

Every three months or so my job takes me to Enfield, Nova Scotia for couple of days, and this has been going on for a number of years. So many that I don't recall when it started, but one thing is sure that my first choice of hotel, when asked by our corporate travel office, is Prince George Hotel. Over the years many more hotels have been built near our facility, by the Halifax Airport, and yes they may be more convenient to commute to work while staying at my temporary accommodation in Halifax area. But like when I'm at home in Toronto, I like the comfort that I'm accustomed and knowing that at the end of a long day there are familiar faces waiting for me when I crossed the front door. The door of my Toronto home or the door of Prince George Hotel lobby!

- Enzo Romano

Dear Mr. Romano - we will do our best with the upgrades.  It isn't always "doable" but leave that with us.  See you soon.

Had a great time.....except one person

The lady at the front desk was overly friendly, the valet parking man met at the street as I unloaded my bags and took my keys. I have never had a bad experience here. Just one thing bothered me. Apparently we got a noise complaint. I turned the music off as soon as the door bell rang, and before the guy could say anything, I told him the music was off and were leaving. This jack off goes off threatening to call police and over reacts as if I am not complying to his demand to be quiet. This was the first time we were told, not repeatedly or anything. If the Prince George wants to stay classy, their staff should stay classy as well. Thumbs up all around, except for this guy who had a fight with his wife before work or got bullied too much in school.

Our 25th anniversary

We were celebrating our anniversary as we do every year at your hotel, however, this year was our 25th. I mentioned this when we checked in and I have to say I was a little disappointed when there was no acknowledgement in any way. We did appreciate the snack brought to our room saying Happy Thanksgiving. A very nice touch. We always enjoy our stay at your hotel and we always choose the crown floor so we look forward to staying there twice a year, in April and October. Thank you for wanting our comments!

Very Nice

I will write in french because it's my language...

Third time remains a charm.

We were very much looking forward to our third annual stay, and we were not disappointed. An initial "hiccup" was well handled by the desk staff and all other requests were promptly and efficiently dealt with. As always, all members of the staff were charmingly pleasant and helpful. Our reservation request, for a specific room on the 6th floor was made 16 months before, and re-confirmed a few days before we arrived. Nevertheless, that room was given away just before we got to the hotel. What part of "reservation" don't you understand?

Making a Special Day Even Better!

My fiance/husband and I stayed at the Prince George in preparation for our wedding, the last week of September. We had about 20 guestrooms booked for our friends and family as well - and it was so great of the staff to keep most of us together on the same two floors (including moving a couple of guests to be closer, when they requested). We had one minor snafu - the groom's sister's reservation was mixed up, with different dates than we had requested. Our initial dealing with the front desk wasn't great - it looked like she would have to bunk with someone else for a night, or move to another hotel. However, with the help of Penny M, we were able to get things straightened out before Eni even arrived. The guestrooms were great - I was able to stay in an executive suite and was so sad to leave. (Who can blame me - no girl wants to give up that shower!) Housekeeping was great the first couple of days, but a little less diligent after that. It was the little things that were missing - while the room was clean, the dirty coffee mug was dried (with coffee still on the edges) and put back in the box. Or, when I removed the frog from the lily pad (signalling I would like the sheets changed), it didn't happen. I appreciate the commitment to being environmentally friendly, but found it just a little annoying. That said, I very much liked the ability to request housekeeping at a specific time, rather than leaving it up to chance. Great option! (It would be great if breakfast could be pre-ordered in a similar way - the options listed, with delivery time options, and the door hanger with this info put out by a certain time the night before. We have stayed at a hotel in Napa that used a system like this for their breakfast room service and it is wonderful!) We enjoyed the food at both the brunch and through our wedding. Breakfast was good - service was friendly, quick, and we didn't feel at all rushed. The wedding food was amazing. The service was professional (we made a request to change the order in which the tables were served, but other than that it was perfect). The Mexican shrimp were crowd favorites, but the mains certainly didn't disappoint. I would go back in a heartbeat for more, and was only sad I couldn't stuff my face at the wedding! The staff were wonderful, and we requested to have a couple slices of wedding cake brought to our room. They did so, on a gorgeous plate with "Congratulations" scrolled across it. It was amazing. Personally, we liked the self-service of the cake at the reception (easier for those who wanted some to try whatever flavor, or as many slices, as they wished). I was grateful for the gym most mornings, when nerves had me up at 5:30. I thought it was very well equipped for a hotel gym, with twice the equipment I expected. I was more than happy with this! I did find it difficult to figure out how to get to the pool - I think some of the younger guests found it, but I never got beyond seeing it through windows. The location was wonderful - close to everything (including most of our vendors, so we were able to walk to pick things up). The parking is a little pricey, but I am learning that is standard for many hotels in Halifax. We had a few issues with getting out of the parkade - the tickets wouldn't work - but staff were always quick to help with this. In all, we loved our stay. The staff were friendly and personable, and made us feel welcome and taken care of. Our guests have all raved about what a great choice we made in staying at/having our wedding with the Prince George - including guests from all over Canada, the US, and the UK. We're already hoping to return in May for another stay.

- Anna Rushton

Thank you for completing our satisfaction survey Ms. Rushton - three things came to mind as I read about your experience:

Elegant and tasteful accomodation with access to everything.

I only had one evening but shared with a guest who had two. I believe she too enjoyed her stay. I was in a hurry when I arrived on Saturday evening and I was not delayed when I checked in. The gentleman on the door at that time was also most helpful in my haste to get to a restaurant close by. There was a beautiful wedding taking place in the hotel and although it was fairly noticeable and there was excitement all around, it did not affect our time or rest. We ate in the dining room on Sunday morning. The food was lovely but was not inexpensive. I would delight to stay there again, thanks. Cindy

Our home in the city, everytime. Always comfortable, professional and extremely accommodating.

We are in the city on average 2 nights each month. We always chose the Prince George. From he excellent valet service at the door to the clean and very comfortable rooms, with the luxe bedding, it has become our home in the city. We have two young daughters and the pool and hot tub are perfectly set up for them. The location is great. We love dining and shopping on argyle, and it's perfect when we're up for a show at the metro centre. We've never had any foul or disappointing experiences at the Prince George. Great hotel ,still staffing issues.

Your hotel is great. Staff is friendly. Waitress spilled hot coffee on my wife and she took 30 percent off bill which I found insulting more then anything but I still managed to tip 20 percent. About 2 months ago the front desk gave me a room that was occupied. Not sure if I will return at this point. We always ask for a suite so my bill is about 400 per night. I can stay at another nice hotel for lot less with better service. I have over 20 employees and annual sales of 13 million and I know a lot about customer service. So far I don't feel that you want me back to the scale that I would give my customers. Spilling hot coffee on my wife would be for sure a free breakfast in my eyes. So we may or may not return to our hotel. Thank you for your time.

- Aldric Robicheau

My apologies for the hiccups Mr. Robicheau.  We aspire to remove these nuisances from every guests visit so your comments hit home - believe me.  I have made notes on your account to ensure next time breakfast for yourself and your wife is on us.   I spoke to your Server and the Hostess who was on duty that morning  (both of who are new team members) and to be honest they admitted to be very uncomfortable and not knowing what to do.

Having stayed in a wide variety of hotels around the world, I can say without reservation that this was one of the top 10 in all of my travels. The property is decorated with taste and has clearly been kept in top shape. The staff from top to bottom was extremely friendly and flexible. Having never been to Nova Scotia, our plans changed several times, but the staff worked with us and treated us with the utmost professionalism. We stayed on the 6th floor and enjoyed the special lounge. Not only was the food very tasty, but the lady keeping the food stocked was very friendly and made us feel special. Nice stay

Overall I enjoyed my 5-night stay. Comfortable room if a tad small, nice mattress. I liked the wireless telephone extension, and that local calls and wireless connections WIFI were free and that the light on the alarm clock could be dimmed and turned off. The shower had nice pressure, towels nice size, liked the bar fridge. Liked the assortment of pillow styles. However, I would frequently get hot under the covers at night due to the comforter, and there was no real intermediate option that I was aware of--either the comforter which was too hot, or a simple sheet, which was much too cold (though, come to think of it, there may have been a blanket in the closet, but I didn't think of that--that may have solved my problem). the desk chair in the room was comfortable but I would have preferred one that could recline/tilt back. I could not find a mechanism on the chair to let it do that. I had a great dinner at gio, but the wine quality and selection did not come close to matching the superb quality of the food. This is very puzzling (and disappointing), given the attention to detail and quality seen in the food presentation. I have never before been unable to get a decent glass of red wine at a fine dining restaurant. (I tried both the cabernet and the malbec at gio.)

The first thing I noticed was the beautiful floral arrangements in the lobby! We were then greeted and promptly checked in by a very friendly gentleman who informed us we had been upgraded to the top floor and wished us a happy 30 anniversary! This was a wonderful surprise! Our room had a great view, top notch bedding for dreamlike sleeping conditions and lovely Aveda products. The evening at Gio was memorable, the staff beautiful inside and out! The stuffed chicken dish had a delicious mix of textures and tastes, the desert yummy melt in your mouth poppyseed iced lemon and pink grapefruit glaze sooo delicious! The atmosphere was upbeat /classy excellent date destination .Compliments to the chef! The bar tender was a busy guy who seems to really like his job, he mixes a great drink! The morning complimentary breakfast was a nice upgrade the pastries were superb and the very friendly lady attendant told me they were made in house, we found all staff very friendly we had a wonderful relaxing stay Thank you all very much for all your attention to details! we will return!!!

The Prince George was beyond my expectations!

Our stay last weekend was great! First time on Crown Floor and the extras were great and made our anniversary weekend one to remember. The staff from check-in to check out was 1st class! Breakfast in bed, the kerig in the room and very comfortable bed was excellent. I will want to stay on that floor every visit to Halifax. Thanks again, Dave Holle

Prince George Turns a Conference Trip into a Restorative Vacation

I spent a week in Halifax attending a conference. This was my first time in Halifax - and first time on the east coast of Canada. For the final few days of my stay my wife joined me and we had time to explore the city and to drive to Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg. We enjoyed the lovely and spacious hotel room, the excellent breakfasts, and the central location of the hotel. We found using the exercise room and pool very relaxing and thought that the pool area was one of the most beautiful we have seen at a hotel, with so much brilliant natural light coming in. But most of all we enjoyed the service and interactions with the staff, who were one and all prompt, courteous, friendly, and just plain nice people. I am already back to work in Toronto, but I still feel rested and restored from my Halifax trip and much of that is attributable to the Prince George Hotel Allen Kalpin

- Allen Kalpin

Mission accomplished Mr. Kalpin.  Thank you for your gracious comments.  The team I work with everyday is very focused on our guests and they love hearing comments like yours.... I will be sure to share - thanks again,

Exceeds Expectations!

We have been to Halifax four times staying at different hotels each time including another 4 star hotel but the Prince George was by far the best one. I had read the reviews on Trip Advisor to upgrade to the 6th floor and we were able to do that for one night as they were totally booked our first night. What a wonderful experience. It is so nice to have a lounge to go to. The continental breakfast was wonderful. The lady taking care of the breakfast was very helpful. We found all the staff very friendly and with a good sense of humour with one exception. We went for breakfast in the restaurant the first morning and it was good we decided to have the buffet as we were virtually ignored and had to ask for coffee twice and orange juice three times before we were able to get them. My husband ordered tea which was delivered promptly but the water was not hot and he did not drink it. That being said the food was great. When the server realized we were not pleased she reduced the bill. The valet parking attendants were very accommodating and our car was always there when we arrived down stairs. The rooms had everything we needed and my husband was especially pleased to have milk in the fridge for his tea. We loved the walk in shower with the gold tiles, Aveda products and the fluffy towels. The view from the room was memorizing. I had to bring a frog home with me and every time I look at "George" I remember the good time we had. We can't wait to come back to be spoilt again!

- Edna Laming

Dear Ms. Laming,

You look after "George" and bring him back for a visit with us real soon..... we will be waiting to spoil.  Thank you and our apologies for the less than hot water for your husband's tea.

Service was extraordinary

From the reservation, to the check in. From solving issues creatively to restaurant suggestions to the housekeeping person leaving us a hand written note at the end of our stay. Nothing was too much for this staff. Even the gentleman polishing the brass in the elevator was friendly and helpful. The service was extraordinary.

- Nan Brooks

Dear Ms. Brooks,

WOW - thank you for very much for staying with us and giving us such huge "props".  I especially appreciate the extra shout out for Anders, The Concierge Team and  Alison.

See you soon?

A Nice Place but a Challenge to get into and out off and Parking is Atrocius

I recently stayed for four nights. The room and building in general were nice although the window glass in my room certainly could have used a cleaning but given all I could see out the window were the flags flying over the main entrance and the Keg restaurant across the street, I wasn't missing much view. On one occasion during my stay I manged to find a newspaper in the hotel, albeit a local paper. Whatever happened to delivering newspapers like the Globe and Mail to one's room door? I have yet to figure out if, what appeared to be a dining room off the lobby, is actually open foir business. While my group did have a catered lunch there one day, I never did notice any patrons dining there that weren't being served as a group. Thus, with the exception of the one lunch, I went out for every meal. Thank goodness there are many restaurants near the hotel where one can get a bite. While those were minor irritants, my biggest issue related to the parking garage. I was driving an out of province crew cab pick-up. The truck measures about 20 feet in length. The maneuvering room available at the exit was not sufficient to swing the truck around the 90 degree turn without either taking out the electronic gate operation equipment on one side or rubbing the concrete pillar on the opposite side. The only way out was if there was nothing parked in the Reserved spots directly opposite the entrance and exit ramps so one could back into one of those spots to line the truck up with the Exit. You should be advertising that your lot is not intended for full sized pick-up trucks. Overall I would say the room and building is okay and is located downtown near entertainment and places to dine. Those staff I encountered were friendly and helpful BUT don't stay here expecting anything but the basics. With even more hotel and convention construction going on downtown that will add to the congestion fo both people and traffic, I recommend travellers start considering locations outside the downtown area as offering more convenience and better value.

- Carl King

Dear Mr. King,

Thank you for taking the time to participate in our online survey.  I am sorry for the frustrations you experienced during your visit with us.  The restaurant directly off the lobby is our breakfast room the Terrace and GIO is behind that which is open for lunch, dinner and beverages.

Your comments make me think we need to re-evaluate our signage.  Parking can be a tight squeeze for a large vehicle like you were driving Mr. King - again my apologies for these nuisances which clearly disrupted your visit with us which is the exact opposite of what we aspire to do.

I hope we get a chance to welcome you back so we can show you a perfect visit @ the Prince George Hotel.

Beautiful city, beautiful Hotel, beautiful room, incredible people, we had a great time.

My wife and I came into Halifax on a cruise ship that came from New York and we decided to get off the ship and spend a couple of nights in your Hotel and fly home from there back to Ontario rather than spend 2 days a sea back to New York. We had a great time in Halifax and loved your Hotel. the room was beautiful and the people working for you were all wonderful. Thanks for everything. Laban Herr.

Always impressed with the service and the accommodations.

Front desk staff are always incredibly helpful and go out of their way to assist. Our room wasn't ready upon checkin however we were given drink coupons for Gio which was very nice and much appreciated. We have a lovely room, enjoyed a drink at Gio, and the following morning a spectacular brunch in the restaurant. Can't wait to treat ourselves again.

- Sandy Bowles

You should treat yourself more often Ms. Bowles - you deserve it!

Wonderful Stay

I was very pleased to be able to check in on line before I had even left the office and knew I would not have to wait when I arrived. Saying this upon arrival my room keys were waiting and I had asked for a room on a higher floor and was very pleased to be on the crown floor. I did not realize that on this floor breakfast was complimentary in a room on the floor. This was very convenient and made the morning process much quicker. My room was lovely. During my stay I realized that my iphone had depleted and upon asking at the front desk I was provided with a charger which I thought was exceptional service. I always find the staff friendly and courtious. I encourage all my friends, family and collegues to stay at the Prince George because of it's location and service. I will be staying with the hotel 9 times over the next several months just on business and I'm sure anytime I am in Halifax I will choose this hotel. Thank you to all your wonderful staff for their great service and hospitality!! Thank you, Charmaine MIller

Prince George hotel gives a 4 star experience combined with personal service

We stayed at the PGH for a wedding.... Arrived a week before, stayed one night, toured around and then came back for the wedding. The staff accommodated our jet legged wild 3 year old at midnight, were kind and seemed to actually care about serving us. They always remembered us! The restaurant staff were also very sweet and accommodating. Every where we turned, someone was giving our daughter a present and a compliment. The room was verycomforrtable, modern, and clean. But it was really the service that was a step ahead. It was the experience of a fancy hotel and a B and B at the same time. Everyone was so nice! (Or is this an east coast thing?)! And I was shocked at how kid-friendly everyone was. It was like all the staff "got it" about travelling with a kid. So refreshing. Great location. Very walkable. Zero complaints. Liked the least? Price of breakfast.

- Caitlin & Tunde Olatunbosun

It might be a little bit of an East-Coast-Thing but we like to think we do it better than the rest Mr. & Mrs. Olatunbosun. We hope your daughter enjoyed her visit too.

Lovely suite and usual great food and service

Upgrade to the Prince Suite was very much appreciated -- all your rooms re lovely but this suite is quite exceptional in every way. Gio for dinner is still a terrific experience, and breakfast at The Terrace was also excellent. All staff wonderfully friendly and helpful as always! You remain my favourite Halifax hotel!!

First visit home in 40 years was made special by all the staff at Prince George...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay .The ability to have a quick breakfast in the 6 th floor lounge was a particular benefit . The location was perfect for accessibility to downtown .The staff were very attentive and responsive, The valet parking was a nice extra too which we appreciated. My wife used the gym/pool and enjoyed that too. There was really nothing that we did not like .

Rushton-Olatunbosun Wedding

Stayed two nights for my daughter's wedding and found everything to be terrific. All activities went off without a hitch. The food for the reception was fabulous and actually all people were served warm food at the same time which was great! Our accommodations were very good as we'll. The only possible negative comment, and this didn't affect us or anyone in the wedding party, was that the underground parking was not wheelchair accessible. We were on the lower level and had to lift heavy luggage up a couple short flights of stairs.

- Dave Rushton

Congratulations Mr. Rushton on expanding the family!  I am glad we could be part of your special weekend.  Next time please let us help you with the luggage and parking of the vehicle - just pull up to the front and we will look after everything else.  Thanks again.
