Highly Recommend This Clean and Cozy Hotel

We were 100% pleased with location of hotel, the service was excellent, our rooms were very clean with comfortable sitting chairs, very comfortable bed and bedding was of the highest quality. Nice walk in shower with fine towels. Hallway etc very quiet and clean. Desk clerks were very polite and helpful. Enjoyed underground parking, which was very convenient. Enjoyed a nice breakfast in the terrace. Very healthy selections and very pleasant staff. Enjoyed having newspaper in the morning with a coffee in our room. Enjoyed a late afternoon walk to the waterfront. All in all we were 100% pleased and would highly recommend our friends staying with you.

Halifax's Best Hotel. Hands Down

We had a fantastic stay for our 1st Anniversary. The Executive Suite was first class all the way and we really appreciated the service. Steven Morris was really helpful and made us feel welcome right away. The front desk staff was wonderful as well. They went out of their way to make sure everything was in order. The restaurant, Gio, was closed for a wedding on the evening we stayed, otherwise we would have dined there given it's reputation. We did, however, have the Mother's Day Brunch the following morning, which was out of this world! I've stayed at this hotel on several occasions over the last 20 or more years and always appreciate it's location, service, and amenities.

- Tom Thomson

Dear Tom:

Many congratulations on your 1 year anniversary and thanks for choosing to spend it at The Prince George.  So sorry that you were unable to enjoy Gio because of a private function - and you should have been advised that the restaurant was closed - apologies for the disappointment.   Thanks for the overall positive feedback and hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back for anniversary number 2!

We felt loved and pampered; Who could ask for anything more?

Whenever we are in Halifax we stay at The Prince George. Our reason for staying at your hotel is due to the extra effort that ALL of your staff put into making guests feel welcome and cared for. We appreciate all the work and hospitality your staff provide to make the hotel so wonderful. The location is great for us as we enjoy several of the restaurants in the area. We were sad when the two used bookstores closed, but were comforted by the French bakery that moved into one of the spaces. We enjoying being able to walk around the city and feel that The Prince George is ideally located. We have a 15 month old and we are still welcomed and do not feel like a burden, which is nice. The crib provided by the hotel was perfect. Our room was clean and quiet in the night. The bed is wonderful. I always have an amazing sleep on your beds. This time we stayed on the sixth floor and the 617 lounge was the perfect addition to our stay. The only thing that we found took away from our stay was the fact that the television in the lounge gets put on automatically each day by staff. We recognize that many people like to watch television/news/weather, but may we suggest that guests can turn it on if they would like it on rather than having it on as a default? We turned it off each morning we were there and actually found out when we asked the others in the room that they would prefer it off as well. Otherwise, the lounge was a perfect oasis. Thank you very much for the excellence you provide.

- Danielle Shelley

Dear Danielle:

Wow - the title of your survey is so much appreciated.  I'll pass on your very kind compliments to Rola, who looks after our Crown Lounge so beautifully - and I will find out the name of the Concierge who took such good care of you and your family!

a good stay

Our stay at the Prince George was very enjoyable. Our rooms were comfortable and clean. The service was prompt and courteous. We felt that the food was a little expensive for breakfast. The pool was well-maintained and a reasonable temperature. Thanks.

- Peter Nkansah
